French by birth, Mathilde spent her childhood across Nigeria, France, Spain, the UK and Indonesia, where the colours, textures and rhythms of daily life quietly shaped her artistic vision.

After training in print and embroidery in London, working alongside a new wave of fashion designers, Mathilde turned fully to fine art, finding her voice in handwoven textiles.

She works exclusively with natural materials - silks, wools, cottons and linens - sourced in the UK and France. Her pieces are made to be felt as well as seen, with colours and patterns that converse with one another over time.

Mathilde’s work reflects place, memory, and the subtle connections between material, maker, and viewer. She now lives in the South of France and is represented by Wondering People in London, where her work is available for purchase.
