Mathilde Felter (b. 1991, Carcassonne, France) is a self-taught French-British artist working primarily with handwoven textiles. Raised between Nigeria, France, Spain, the UK and Indonesia, her early experiences with colour, texture and rhythm quietly shaped her creative voice.

After training in print and embroidery in London and working alongside emerging fashion designers, she turned fully to fine art, finding her place in the slow, tactile world of weaving.

Mathilde works with natural materials like silk, wool, linen and cotton, sourced in France and the UK. Her pieces are made by hand, with patience and care through trimming, weaving and sewing. She creates work that is open to interpretation, designed to be felt as much as seen.

She now lives in the South of France and is represented by Wondering People in London, where her work is available for purchase.
